Meet our Founder

Ryder Fox (they/them)

Founder and CEO | Wellness Coach and Educator

I’m a neurodivergent, nonbinary coach, educator, and systems strategist living with chronic illness and disability. My work is deeply personal—and deeply professional.

Raised in a religious cult and shaped by early family trauma, my path to healing has been one of reclamation: learning to love and trust myself, seeking support that honored my autonomy, and building the kind of care systems I wish had existed when I’ve needed them most.

That journey, rooted in lived experience and collective care, has shaped how I lead, teach, and partner with others. I bring more than 28 years of experience supporting people in vulnerable circumstances, 18 years of professional coaching, and 9 years managing international crisis response teams. I’ve coached over 60,000 hours, 1:1 mentored more than 300 students and early-career professionals, and educated thousands of non-carceral practitioners around the world.

As the founder of THRIVE Lifeline, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering identity-affirming, anonymous crisis and peer support to multiply marginalized people, I continue to invest in community-based wellness that is trauma-informed, values-driven,

and liberated from carceral frameworks. My work centers the needs of those who are most often excluded from traditional systems—including neurodivergent, queer, trans, BIPOC, plural, disabled, and chronically ill communities.

In practice that means:

  • Designing and facilitating immersive certificate programs for practitioners, care workers, students, and survivors
  • Offering strategic consultation to organizations and private practices seeking to build liberatory care systems
  • Providing individual and group coaching that honors complexity and centers client autonomy
  • Supporting conferences and events with logistics, speaking, programming, crisis response, and peer support to ensure safe, empowering spaces

I lead with curiosity, honesty, and care—and bring a relational, non-carceral approach to every space I enter. Whether I’m working 1:1, with intimate groups or at large conferences, I strive to co-create sustainable, liberatory change that centers whole-human wellbeing.

I live in the Twin Cities with my Scottish Terrier, Chepe. When my body allows, I love being outdoors, sharing space in community, and tending to care practices that nourish collective healing.
