Description
Workshop description: A panel discussion on lived experience with eating disorders (EDs) and their intersections with trauma, neurodivergence, fatness, race and ethnicity, gender identity, and disability. We explore the reality of living with an ED (including lesser discussed EDs such as ARFID), and the ways that EDs can be both functional as well as harmful, especially considered with a harm reduction framework. Learn various experiences of helpful versus harmful support approaches, tips for navigating your own EDs, and how to better show up for people in your lives who have EDs, all while centering autonomy and humanity.
Info: 1.5 hour panel discussion with auto-generated live captions.
Panelists: Dr. Jennie Wang-Hall (@dr.jenniewh on IG), Kevin Green (@kevindoesarfid on IG), and Ruth Lindsay
